    Step 1

    Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees. Cream together room temperature butter and sugars for 2 minutes. Then add food coloring to eggs and incorporate into butter, sugar mixture. Once completely colored red add flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt (all other dry ingredients). Combine for a few minutes, maybe 2 minutes. Then remove bowl and add walnuts and chopped chocolate (chocolate morsels can be used). Combine all by hand then form balls or use ice cream scoop to form dough and place on parchment lined cookie sheet. Place into pre-heated oven and bake for 14 minutes or what’s right for your oven. Keep a good eye on the cookies so that they don’t get hard and dark.
