    Step 1

    All ingredients must be room temperature. Beat together butter, cream cheese, flavoring, sugar and eggs for 3 to 5 minutes. Put mixer on lowest speed and spoon in flour. Mix well and spoon into pound cake pan. Bake for 90 minutes at 325 pre-heated oven. When cake is done let cool in pan on cooling rack for 40 minutes. Then turn out onto cooling rack to cool for additional 50 minutes. Let completely cool to the touch before any frosting is applied.
